Terms of Use
Updated on this website: June 2, 2026
Rules for using WristListen to upload books, generate Garmin-ready audio, subscribe for credits, and sync prepared libraries.
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using WristListen, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
WristListen may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
WristListen may also adjust product policies, promotional rules, invite mechanics, credit grants, limits, and abuse controls from time to time. Where legally required or where changes materially affect paid subscriptions, privacy, or users' rights, we will provide appropriate notice; otherwise, policy or promotional changes may take effect without separate individual notice.
2. Accounts and Eligibility
You are responsible for maintaining control of your account, login methods, sessions, uploads, generated audio, and Garmin pairing credentials.
You must provide accurate account information and use the service only for lawful purposes.
You may request account deletion from your profile at any time. If you have an active subscription, you should first use Stripe subscription management to cancel renewal or manage the subscription before deleting the account. You may cancel renewal at any time; if you keep the account active, the current month's delivered credits, generated-audio storage, and subscription benefits remain available until the current paid billing period ends. Immediate account deletion removes access to the account and service data where supported, but it does not automatically refund delivered credits, unused credits, remaining subscription time, generated-audio storage, or other digital entitlements.
3. User-Uploaded Books and Copyright Responsibility
All books, text files, EPUB files, metadata, and other source materials are uploaded voluntarily by users and at users' own direction. WristListen does not supply, select, endorse, validate, or review the source material users choose to upload.
You represent and warrant that you own, control, or have obtained all rights, licenses, consents, and permissions necessary to upload, parse, transform, generate audio from, store, download, sync, and otherwise use your submitted content through WristListen.
You must not upload DRM-protected, pirated, unlawfully copied, infringing, or otherwise unauthorized content. You must not use WristListen to bypass copyright restrictions, licensing limits, technical protection measures, or distribution rules.
You are solely responsible for your uploaded content, generated audio, and downstream use of that audio. You agree that any copyright dispute, ownership dispute, licensing dispute, takedown request, claim, cost, damage, or liability arising from your uploads or user-directed generation is your responsibility.
By accepting these terms or generating audio, you confirm that you have lawful rights to the text you upload, that generated audio is for personal study only, and that you are personally responsible for copyright disputes caused by sharing.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WristListen and its operators disclaim responsibility and liability for copyright disputes, infringement allegations, licensing conflicts, or other claims arising from user-uploaded books, source text, metadata, generated audio, or Garmin sync initiated by users.
4. License to Operate the Service
You retain ownership of rights you already hold in your submitted content. You grant WristListen a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, copy, parse, process, transform, generate audio from, store, transmit, display metadata for, and make available your content and generated outputs solely as needed to provide, secure, debug, and improve the service.
You are responsible for ensuring that granting this operational license does not violate any third-party rights or contractual obligations.
5. Payments, Subscriptions, Refunds, and Generation
Subscription credits are added to your account after Stripe confirms a paid invoice through the configured webhook flow. Credits are WristListen's internal generation unit and are consumed by sample or full generation according to the selected content, settings, and quoted generation cost.
Credits are digital entitlements delivered to your account for use with generation. Reader includes 800 credits per month for $9.99 and 30 days of generated audio storage. Plus includes 2,500 credits per month for $19.99 and 90 days of generated audio storage. Max includes 8,000 credits per month for $49.99 and 1 year of generated audio storage. Except where required by applicable law, delivered credits are final and non-refundable once added to your account. Credits have no cash value, are not stored-value cards, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
Cancellation and Refunds: You may cancel subscription renewal anytime through Stripe subscription management. Cancellation does not remove benefits already delivered for the current paid billing period; those benefits remain available until the period ends if you keep the account. Deleting your account immediately before the period ends forfeits remaining benefits and does not automatically cancel or refund Stripe payments. Where required by law, or for duplicate charges, billing mistakes, or clearly undelivered service, you may contact support@WristListen.com for manual review. Where a cash refund is approved, the refund may be reduced by non-refundable payment processing fees and applicable charges retained by Stripe, banks, card networks, or other payment providers.
Failed generation paths may return unused reserved credits to your account balance where supported by the product logic. This is a credit-balance adjustment, not a cash refund.
Referral or invite credits are promotional credits with no cash value. They are not transferable, cannot be sold, cannot be redeemed for cash, and may be limited by monthly, lifetime, campaign, risk, or budget controls. WristListen may adjust, pause, reject, reverse, or end invite rewards when we detect abuse, self-referral, fake accounts, automated signup, suspicious activity, or other conduct that undermines the reward program.
Before subscribing, you are responsible for checking that your Garmin device supports music storage and can use the intended WristListen sync workflow. Device incompatibility, unsupported Garmin models, unavailable Garmin features, connection issues, or third-party device limitations do not make used or delivered credits refundable except where required by applicable law.
Generation times and audio output quality may vary based on content length, provider availability, model behavior, transcoding, and infrastructure conditions.
6. User-Provided TTS API Keys
WristListen may allow you to provide your own third-party TTS API key, including a Xiaomi MiMo TTS key. You represent that you are authorized to use any API key you submit and that your use follows the third-party provider's terms.
When you save a user-provided API key, WristListen stores it encrypted and uses it only to provide requested TTS generation, validate the key, maintain service reliability, prevent abuse, and enforce these terms. The full key is not shown again after saving.
If you opt in to sharing a key, you authorize WristListen to include that key in a shared TTS key pool and to use it for other users' generation when available. Other users still consume their own WristListen credits when shared pool keys are used. You may turn off sharing or remove your key from your profile.
Xiaomi MiMo TTS may be free at the time this feature is offered, but third-party pricing, access, quotas, models, and terms can change. WristListen may disable, reject, revoke, or stop using user-provided or shared keys at any time if the third-party free offer ends, provider terms change, a key fails validation, abuse is detected, or continued use creates operational, legal, or security risk.
7. Prohibited Use
You may not use WristListen to infringe intellectual property rights, upload illegal content, attack or overload the service, abuse rate limits, reverse engineer restricted systems, interfere with other users, create fake or duplicate accounts, automate registration, self-refer, bulk farm invite rewards, sell or transfer credits, or violate applicable laws.
We may suspend, restrict, remove content, or terminate access when we believe use violates these terms, creates risk, causes technical harm, or exposes WristListen or others to legal liability.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
WristListen is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, compatible with every Garmin device, or suitable for every content use case.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WristListen is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, or claims arising from user-uploaded content, generated audio, copyright disputes, payment provider behavior, third-party providers, or service interruptions.
9. Contact
